Welcome to my fund raising page For the

Motor Neurone Disease Association

In Memory of my Brother, terry.

On September 13th 2008, my brother Terry died from Motor Neurone Disease.

On August 2nd I will be riding around the streets of London & Surrey cycling 100 miles for MND. Whatever possessed me to sign up I’ll never know.

Throughout the Summer 2014 I will be cycling 1000 miles to raise awareness for this horrendous disease. Now for those that know me this isn’t a mean feat, 18 months ago I would have baulked at the thought of riding 5 miles. Now I baulk at the thought of riding 50 miles which is why most of the rides I am making this year are over that distance, it sort of makes it a challenge rather than a trip out...

My last ride will be on September 14th, six years and one day after Terry’s death. For me it will be very special day, my thoughts will be of him, his widow and children, my mum and dad and my partner Sue and our 5 collective children all of whom still miss him.

If you wish to follow my exploits take a look here 1000milesformnd.co.uk

Why the MND Association?

They are continually pushing the authorities to recognise the devastating effects of this disease, they fund research to fuel their ultimate goal of a world free of MND and they were incredibly supportive to my brother and to us, his family, both emotionally and with the loan of equipment that made Terry’s life bearable.
